Questions:
1) Is this real or just Sci-fi?Assuming these CAN be produced, what technical difficulties will need to be overcome (i.e miniturization, motors, power supply, control systems?) How long until these are flying?
2) Who will benefit from this technology?
3) How could you protect yourself from having one of these were watching you? 4) Discuss Privacy issues and ethics of developement? Can it be kept in military or law enforcement hands? If not, should it be developed at all knowing how it could be misused?
5) What legislative controls, if any should be employed? If you can afford one, should you be able to purchase?
1I think they are real but they are a couple years ahead of our time. They would not need lots of materials but it would be hard to make such small cameras for the bugs.
ReplyDelete2The military will benefit from the technology because they will be able to spy on the enemies and find out valuable information.
3You cannot protect yourself from these bug bots they are too small, and you couldn’t even tell if they were a bug or bird from a distance.
4And 5 I think that only the military should use it, and only the people with specific talents with remote controls like uav flyers.
1. I think that this is a real thing and not just science fiction because technology is getting so advanced that anything is capable. Saying this, I still think it will be at least 20 years before they become common.
ReplyDelete2. Our military will benefit from this because then they will have to put less effort into wars.
3. You can be careful and always close your doors and windows.
4. If they keep it military only they will have no problems but if they invade people’s privacy then they will not get away with it. I think it should be developed but only legal for military usage.
5. I say no because then you could stalk people. Only police and military people should be able to buy them.
1.) I think it’s real, but some technical difficulties would be making it able to track a certain target, and make them small so people think they are bugs. It would be difficult to make them small because of everything needed to make them work correctly. They would have to be made up of a very strong material, and have a camera as well. It would be maybe 50 years or so before they would be able to start flying, because it would take awhile to sort everything out.
ReplyDelete2.) The army, the police, and the FBI would all be able to benefit from this.
3. It would be hard to protect yourself from having one of them watching you, but you would have to know it was watching you and take the necessary precautions such as locking doors and shutting windows. You would have to stay hidden, and it would be hard to commit a crime or do anything bad. It wouldn’t be able to set in with a ton of people, because it would be able to see EVERYTHING and that’s a violation to a common, good person.
4.It should be kept in military hands, used for those purposes only. No one should be able to actually own one for themselves, and be able to do what they want to do with it. It should be developed, but be kept under watch.
5.There should be some laws, like how many can be sent out and what they can do. But you should not be able to purchase one, because that would be dangerous and anyone could spy on anyone without them knowing.
1.I think this is real because of the technology we have can make this happen. The difficulties that would we need to overcome is what are the bugs design going to look like, the bugs ability to fly, and what tasks the bug is needed to do. I think they will be flying in the next 10-20 years or even sooner.
ReplyDelete2.The United States Military will benefit from this because they can use these bugs for war.
3.You could find a way to keep the bugs away like closing your doors and windows and making sure you look to see if they are following you.
4.There would be some privacy issues with this bug because it’s following you where ever you go and you have no privacy. It should be in the Military and Law enforcement hands because you can trust them but on the other hand everyday people may take advantage of the bug and use it for the wrong reasons.
5.I think legislative controls should be employed so people don’t get out of hand. I would not purchase one because I really don’t need one to spy on people and invade their personal space.
1. I do believe that this is real technology for the Air force. I think that it will need to overcome damage and control systems. I think that they will be made in the next year or so.
ReplyDelete2. The people in a war will mostly benefit from this because they will know where the enemies will be, and what type of weapons the enemies will have.
3. You could protect yourself by knowing when someone is coming so you know when to hide and be safe. You would need to keep one for example in a hall so you know ahead of time if someone is coming.
4. I think that it should be kept in the military’s hands because they need it the most of all people.
5. If you can afford it I think that you should be able to purchase it for safety reasons.
1. I think that these could be possible to make in the next few years because of the new technology that is being made these days. The creators would have to create small engines and would have to operate it to fly just like a real insect.
ReplyDelete2. The people benefitting from this would be the police forces and the military for I guess undercover jobs.
3. I don’t think there is a way to protect yourself from one of the MAV’S because it can follow you through your house and without you even noticing it. I think the only way to stop the MAV is to smash it with a fly swatter or cover all the windows and to stay inside your house.
4. This device should not be sold to other people because a lot of privacy could be invaded. The MAV should be only used for the military and police departments.
5. I think that no one should be able to purchase because it is an invasion of privacy, and that’s against the law.
J.M.
1. I think these are real because they are small and do not use a lot of supplies to make these however I don’t we will be using them in next couple of years.
ReplyDelete2. Everyone will benefit from this because it will protect us from stuff that could be harmful.
3. Be an innocent person and don’t do anything that would make the U.S. Government suspicious about you.
4. I think that only the U.S. Government should be able to use this because some people would misuse this object for something bad.
5. I think only the U.S. Government should be able to use these. I think even if I could afford one I shouldn’t be able to buy one because someone such as me could misuse it.
Zachary S.
1). I believe that they are Sci-Fi. If they could be produced some technical difficulties that would occur are, energy source; they would have to be able to collect sunlight or some other form of energy. Also, who would be controlling them as the fly.
ReplyDelete2). I think that the armed forces, and like people would be benefiting from the MAV’s the most.
3). You can protect yourself from an MAV by making sure your house is secure, like closing doors and windows at all times.
4). The MAV’s are a big invasion of privacy. I don’t think its right to invade someone privacy beyond ways that are needed. I believe it can be held in military or law enforcement hands. It should not be developed know what ways it can be misused.
5). If you can afford a MAV I do not think you should be able to purchase one, it can be misused in too many ways.

MAV’S Hour 3 Blog #3
ReplyDelete1.) I think that this is real. How they can make a motor that same and how much energy it will need. I say about 10 to 20 years before they are flying.
2.) Our countries military so that less people will die.
3.) Not get in trouble by the police or get in jail because when you get out they would have one watching you.
4.) It would e a privacy issue. I could fall into other people’s hands. Yes because if it does fall into the wrong hands they can make them explode.
5.) Only the Police and or Military should be able to use them. No you should not be able to purchase one of you can afford it. A. Renius
1) I believe that these MAV’s will soon be real. Some of the technical difficulties will be figuring out a way to make a miniaturized motor powerful enough to make the vehicle fly. Another difficulty would be programming them to fly according to the wind and getting them to communicate with each other. These bugs would have to be incredibly small, so making them would be extremely difficult, and they would have to have a very efficient power source in order to give them flight and still be miniature. I would say they will appear in about 25 years.
ReplyDelete2) The military and government will benefit from this technology, along with the police, CIA, and other organizations.
3) To protect yourself from these MVA’s, you could close your drapes to avoid being seen, shut your door, but most importantly, just don’t do anything that would give the police a reason to spy on you.
4) These MVA’s could be considered an invasion of privacy; many people think that it is wrong to give the government the power to spy on civilians (although they can already do that). However, if used correctly, these MVA’s could be used by the military, government, and police to stop crimes and aid our troops in battle. Therefore, they should be developed because in my opinion the benefits they could provide outweigh the disadvantage of misuse.
5) I don’t think that the average citizen should be able to purchase an MVA, only trusted officials with clean backgrounds. This will help prevent criminal use (although it would be pretty cool to have one).

ReplyDeleteMAV’S real or fiction
ReplyDelete1. I think MAV’S are real but they will take a long time before they are finished. The problem with MAV’S is that they are so small that they will not last long and run out of power!
2. Solders’ and everyone working in Iraq will benefit from this because they don’t have to put themselves in deadly situations.
3. To protect yourself just lock your doors and secure small areas that they could come through.
4. It should be only used by the military for necessary purposes but not in the hands of anyone else because then they would get into everyone’s privacy and yes they should invent it only for the military
5. No people shouldn’t be able to purchase it because then people will stalk each other, it should only be used for military purposes only!
1) I think this idea is good and could be real. The technical difficulties they would have if they built this would be getting it to fly a long ways and building a camera small enough to fit inside. I don’t think they would need a lot of materials because they are so small. I think it will be about 40 years until these start to fly.
ReplyDelete2) I think this will help the army a lot and maybe the police.
3) It would be hard to protect yourself from one of these bugs. I think it will be hard because they are too small and if you do not shut doors or windows then they can see everything. You would never be able to come out of your house you would always have to be hidden.
4) I think it should be kept under military hands. I think if someone other than military people had it, it would be a big issues because of privacy. The bug follows you everywhere and I don’t think a lot of people would like that. If it just stays in the military there would be no issues.
5) I don’t think you should be allowed to purchase a MAV because it could be used wrong and then there would be a lot of complaints about it.

1.I think that this could possibly be real, but in the future not in present time. Some of the technical difficulties that would need to be overcome if these were produced are, the motors might not run correctly, the miniaturization of the object could make it harder to produce. In estimation for how long for these to fly, I say about 5 years of so.
ReplyDelete2.The military would benefit from this technology.
3.You could always be cautious and have your doors and stuff closed.
4.I think that it should just keep it military only because then there will be less of a invasion of privacy.
5.I say no to having them be purchased by other people and only have like S.W.A.T and police aloud to have them.
1. I do not believe this is science-fiction. This is real technology. Technological problems will be a consistent source of energy, and the stabilization of the device.
ReplyDelete2. The U.S. military, supreme authority may solve unknown events
3. Citizens have a right to privacy in their house and according to the constitution, evanders should not enter unless probable cause with a warrant. So close windows, keep curtains shut doors locked. Be aware of crawl spaces and unfinished basements or attics that might be a leak to the outside threats.
4. The chance of a malfunction in the air and the fall into the hands of an evil one would cause disaster so no should not be produced
5. I think if the product was made it should self-destroy if it fells the treat of a wrong owner. No should never be able to purchase this device.
1.I believe that it is real and one day they will be use in military purposes. I think that there are lots of difficulties but eventually overcome all of the difficulties for example for power supply they could use vibrations or maybe even solar or power lines. I don’t think it will be too far into the future until these are made.
ReplyDelete2.The military will be benefiting from using this technology.
3.To protect yourself from a MAV don't be out in an open area or have windows that can be seen in. I actually believe there is no way to keep them out, they will eventually get in.
4.In the US you shouldn't be video taped without permission but in the military that is different. It should be built and try to keep it in the hands of the military and law enforcement officials. There is always a chance anything will be misused but you cant not try something because of that.
5.No unathorized person should be able to purchase a MAV. They should come up with a certain ID or something to prove you are authorized.
1. In my opinion, I believe that MAV’S could be produced one day. Assuming these could be produced, some of the technical difficulties these MAV’S can have are problems with Motors, such as running correctly. Also, the miniaturization process of the MAV’S could be quite difficult to complete. If I had to give it a good estimation, I say about another 5-10 years before these are even THOUGHT to fly.
ReplyDelete2. If this technology is possible, the people benefiting from the MAV’S could be the armed forces, and the CIA. The armed forces could use them to help with missions, as well as the CIA could use them to find out certain types of information.
3. I don’t believe that we could protect ourselves from this type of thing watching us. In my honest opinion, I believe this type of invention should be kept in military and law enforcement hands only. Not only would people misuse them, but they could become a more severe problem in the future.
4. These being used as an everyday product is an invasion of privacy. I do believe this would be a good invention for military, and law enforcement purposes, but not for everyday life. There are various ways that these MAV’S could be misused.
5. The legislative controls that
should be implied are that the military, and other law enforcement branches ONLY should be allowed to used the MAV's. Also, there should be certain purposes for them.
-Destiny Perez
I belive that it is a real thing I think They would have trouble with making the little motors for them. I think they could be in use probably in the next 2-7 years.
ReplyDelete2. I think the military would benifit from it because the can watch the people they need to with out them knowing.
3. I'm not sure that there is a way to stop it or protect yourself from not being watched by it but since its the govenment who would be in charge of it you would have to follow laws like you already should.
4.I think it shoupld be kept in law enforcement's hand because it could get misused. Also I think that people should not know about it only certin people who know how to use it.
5.Only MAV's people should use it the average working person or even the rich or poor should not be allowed to buy it because it could become into a big privacy problem and even the government is pushing it because they could easily use it to just watch normal people rather then the people they should be watching so this device could turn into a Big Brother thing.
That is what I think about this.

janus i thantthis is relly. if some one was wine me i would run
ReplyDeleteAndre 1 yes tgey are real but it will be a couple years before they really take off.
ReplyDelete2 i think the military would be the ones who have it.
3 you couldnet they are way to small
4i think they would invade your privicy
5 i think the military should just be aloud to use it
Wow, a lot of interesting comments from you. I too think this will be very soon if not now a reality. Of course I think the military should use it but I also fear it getting into the wrong hands. I like my privacy.
ReplyDelete1) I don't think they exist right now, but it's very possible for the future.
ReplyDelete2) The military would benefit from this machinery becuase they can spy on the enemy and locate serious criminals.
3) There really is no way to protect yourself from these nano-bugs, there always watching you, if your the enemy of the military.
4) This technology should only be kept within military grounds, no others.
5)It would be a big privacy issue if this product was let to be purchased by regular people of the world, it needs to be kept with the MAV.
