Talk at Work" and read tips on things not to share with your co-workers. How do you rank the list? Which topics do you think are most important? Are there any topics you wouldn't talk about with your friends? Why or why not.
I think that politics and religion is the worst thing to talk about at work. Those are your personal views and unless the person is your family you should probably not tell them. Work complaints is second because it is at the place where you are working and you don't want them to turn it against you. But saying all of this I think that the rest of the list is pretty legitamit.
ReplyDeleteI think that the worst thing to talk about is your lifestyle changes, those are your own issues and only you should know about them. The second worst thing to talk about is racially charged comments, you dont want to say comments like that because there may be a different colored worked next to you.The two things that i just listed are the two things that i would not talk about with my friends. The rest you still shouldnt say.

ReplyDeleteWhen ever you get the two topics like politics and religion a war begins like i am not even kidding im my 16 years i have learned not to bring them up in any class because if you do then you have eveyones opinion and you may not agree with them so it gets everyone to argue

ReplyDeleteI think some of the worse things to talk about is your lifestyle changes. Those are your own personal things and issues and you should keep them to yourself and no one else and i don't think people should know about them. The next worse thing to talk about is religion and politics. Because people may disagree on what your opinion is and the will start a big argument over something like that. Those are the two worse things i think you could talk about.
ReplyDeleteThe worst thing to do when your at work is gossiping and negative views of colleagues! People will start to not trust you and when you gossip with others they will gossip about you too. The most important things to not talk about is religion! The topic that I would'nt talk about with my friends would be negative views of colleagues. No one wants to hear who you hate and what you don't like about your colleagues cause then it would get annoying to your friends.
ReplyDeleteWhen you start working you will hear others talk about some of the things listed. Just because others do it, I hope you don't fall in that trap too. I must admit the thing I hate the most is negative people. I don't like listening to people constantly complaining. I'm not saying you can't disagree but if it's about everything continually it can be annoying to others.
ReplyDeletei think when your at work you should not talk to your coworkers about your wages, nor talk about any of your otehr coworkers cause that juist puts you in a bad looking position.you also most defintly not talk about peoples religion or acts of. i would not talk to my friends about stupied drama satuff like what people wear who there dating and extra. that is not what your ther for.
ReplyDeleteThe order of topics that I believe are the most important not to talk about in or out of the office with colleagues are: 1. Hangovers or wild weekends 2. Negative views of other colleagues 3. Work Complaints 4. Off-color or Racial charged comments 5. Politics or religion 6. Personal problems and relationships 7. Gossip 8. Intimate Details 9. Medical History 10. Life style Changes 11. Cost of Purchases 12. Salary information 13. Blog or social Networking profile.
ReplyDeleteThe topics I would not discuss with friends would probably be most of the subjects listed above. I would not discuss these topics with friends because these topics could form worse problems in the future.
